DDB Melbourne takes home the Golden Brain in Youngblood VIC’s Agency vs Agency Trivia

Building on the momentum of other wins over the past year including the consolidation of marketing for the entire Coles business and global brand work for Movember, DDB Melbourne has taken home the crown from Youngbloods VIC’s Agency vs Agency Trivia 2023.

Following a 4-way tiebreaker at last year’s event, there was a more unanimous winner in the second iteration of Victoria’s Agency vs Agency trivia. As the industry gathered once again at the now infamous Leadbeater Hotel, Master of Ceremonies Alex Capper guided the room through a challenging set of questions that kept the whole room on their toes.

From musical chairs to name that brand, the bonus rounds brought out the best and worst of our competitive natures and the newly established industry-related double pointer separated the ad-obsessed from the 9-to-5ers.

After its win in 2022, VMLY&R backed it up with another impressive performance but there was nothing they could do to stop DDB-Vape Nation Season 2 in its tracks during that final round. Says Josh Brown, art director at DDB, ‘There’s no ‘I’ in DDB and Smith St. It’s funnier too because last year’s [quote] was “We may have a lot of letters in our name, but there is no ‘I’ in our team”’. How meta.

Says quizmaster and head of data planning at CHEP: “It was an awesome night and I feel very honoured to have played quizmaster for such a lovely group of people…except DDB Vape Nation.”

Youngbloods VIC would like to extend a huge thanks to all the agencies that attended. It was another awesome night and we can’t wait for the next one.
