Digital marketing coach Kate Toon to launch The Digital Marketing Collective Conference on Saturday October 7, Kirribilli Club, Sydney

Life-changing lessons, real connection, massages and goodies galore – this is not your average business conference. The Digital Marketing Collective Conference (DMC Conference) will take place on Saturday, 7 October at Kirribilli Club in Sydney.

The new conference is the brainchild of Kate Toon, business mentor, author, digital marketing coach and Australia’s most Influential Woman in Small Business (2022).

Aimed at entrepreneurs, business coaches, e-commerce store founders, freelancers and business owners looking to build a successful business using digital marketing.

More than 120 people are expected to attend the event, and the Mastermind day on Friday 6 October is already sold out.

A dedicated digital marketing conference, with a twist.

From how to be a leader (and still be yourself), to advice on how to sell your products (without selling your soul), making the most of Instagram in 2023 and business growth through effective pitching, micro-funnels, content strategy and effective digital marketing (without dancing on reels), the DMC Conference is packed with practical, engaging and timely sessions.

In a world of AI, economic gloom, increasing competition and marketing overwhelm, running a business in 2023 isn’t for the faint-hearted. But with the right digital marketing skills, mindset and networks, there’s no need to throw your business dreams in the bin.

Founder of the Digital Marketing Collective and DMC Conference Kate Toon, says this brand-spanking-new event was created as an antidote to online events without human connection, and business conferences that overpromise and then underdeliver with fluff and filler: “Let’s face it, running a business and demystifying digital marketing is tougher than ever in 2023. This event is about learning from inspirational, clever, funny, and damn sexy humans about how they’ve created their own version of digital business success.

“I’ve found some of the best, brightest minds from diverse industries to motivate, teach, and support attendees in creating the business they’ve always wanted. It will be part education, part woo, part delicious mini-quiches, and part just a damn good time.”

Taking place at the stunning Kirribilli Club in Lavender Bay, Sydney, the DMC Conference is a full-catered event, with plenty of opportunities to network with like-minded business minders, speakers and digital marketing experts, plus diverse speakers, no hard-sells from the stage and spaces for introverts to recover from peopling when they need a break.

Speakers at the conference on 7 October include April Hélène-Horton, Jade Warne, Steph Taylor, Jessica Staines, Shan Morrison, Ben Amos, Carrie Kwan, Anu Sawhney, Omar Zenhom, and of course Kate Toon herself.

Says Toon: “If you’re sick of trying to do ALL THE THINGS, optimising the crap out of everything and wasting money on yet another ‘six-figure-business’ scheme, this is the conference for you right here in Sydney.”

Practical advice, actionable tips and no-cringe networking, the DMC Conference promises to be full of the kind of presentations that inspire action, provide a fresh perspective, and leave attendees with a long list of actions to supercharge their business using digital marketing.

But it’s also about networking to create meaningful connections and opportunities for collaboration, and access to speakers who have relevant real-world experience.

April Hélène-Horton – The Bodzilla – will be first up on conference day, presenting on how to be a leader (and still be yourself), and talking about talk about why it’s powerful to unshackle yourself from the traditional definition of ‘professionalism’ when leading people.

Says Hélène-Horton: “Authentic leadership is one of my professional passions. Sharing what I’ve learned about being a leader while also being a fat woman of colour is something I think will benefit all attendees at the DMC Conference.”

Jade Warne, founder of the Small Business Growth Club will also be gracing the stage, sharing what really works on Instagram in 2023. As a photographer, videographer and Instagram growth coach and speaker, Jade has got the goods about strategies for social media success.

Says Warne: “They say you can never be too rich, but what about having too many followers? Far from vanity metrics, in a digital world, followers are capital: the key to influence, opportunities and success. So HOW do you get more, on Instagram, specifically? This is what I’ll be covering, including my one-word strategy to grow followers and make sales on any platform. Top that, ChatGPT!”

Tickets are selling fast, with the Mastermind Day on 6 October already sold-out. The conference comes hot on the heels of Toon’s latest book hitting stores nationally, Six Figures in School Hours: How to run a successful business and still be a good parent.
